Celebrating Black History Month | Alice Dunnigan

Alice Dunnigan is the last individual I wanted to highlight during #blackhistorymonth, although the list goes on and on of inspiring African Americans that the world should know about and never forget. Alice Dunnigan made history in 1947 as the first black woman to cover the White House. She had been mostly ignored during White House news conferences, until JFK became President. Dunnigan was also the first black female of the Senate and House of Representatives press galleries!

We advocate for truth and for equity in the workplace. At Växa collective, we support and value ethical journalism. Journalists around the world are vital to a good democracy because they find the truth and report it for all people to hear.

Similarly, we focus on equity and mutual respect through positive workplace culture. Equipping managers to know and understand themselves and their people well creates a more effective team that produces better business results!
