True meaning and clear expectations can get lost in everyday communication through e-mail or text messages, so sitting down with your direct reports, your manager, or others on your team is very important for developing a highly performing team. 1:1 meetings need to be within a psychologically safe environment, require a clear process and repeatability, and then they’ll affect your workplace culture for the better!
