Slow Down: Create a Culture of Connection

Happy Monday!

Here’s to another week of figuring out what it looks like for most companies to manage their employees remotely and build a business while doing it!

One of the best practices to effectively managing remote employees is to check on their emotional state. None of us have gone through a pandemic until now, so no one really knows what it looks like to manage remote teams when they have previously done otherwise.

Checking on your employees' emotional health could look like anything from a quick check-in that has nothing to do with work or productivity, welcoming feedback about how people are engaging and feeling during this difficult time, or simply being vulnerable with your team and telling them your own fears—letting them know it's going to be okay, and it's okay if they aren’t okay.

What are some ways you have encouraged your team or felt encouraged by your team’s leaders when it comes to your emotional state?
